Unchained Tours is the brainchild of Chris Biltcliffe. Chris has ridden all the routes and has designed every detail of these adventures so you will be guaranteed to have the trip of a lifetime.
Chris has travelled extensively in America and Europe on two wheels in search of adventure and great roads to ride and now wants to bring all this to you. Chris has unbounded enthusiasm for wanting to show you some of the amazing things he has witnessed and has designed the tours to bring as much adventure as you can cope with.
We will bring these unforgettable roads and destinations to life on our tours which give you the chance of the ultimate adventure.
Unchained Tours is a free-riding motorcycle tour company that will allow all levels of riders the chance to experience a foreign country the way we think it was intended to be seen – from the seat of a motorcycle.
What We Do.
We at Unchained Tours offer a “supported adventure tour.” It is about enabling you to keep the independence of travelling alone whilst benefiting from the support and friendship of a
small group of riders and you do it on your bike.
We take all the hassle out of getting your own bike to your adventure , leaving you free to enjoy great riding and experience the local culture along the way.
We offer plenty of opportunity to explore and take your own detours, with the reassurance that if you need assistance – We won’t be far away.
If you are looking for independence whilst benefiting from the support and friendship of likeminded riders, then Unchained Tours is for you.
Our aim is for you to join an elite group of global riders sharing adventures and experiences. Because you are riding your own bike and paying as you go, you are not chained to an itinery.
Lots of bike tours will guide you by the hand and planning your every mile and mouthful of food. At Unchained Tours, we give you the flexibility to move away from the itinery if you decide to. We plan all the stops in advance and our guides will ride a specific route to the next stop. If you want to run a different route or stay somewhere a litte longer, that’s no problem and simply catch the main group up at the next stop. Our adventures are about experiences and discovering the road less travelled and we will actually promote riding off the route.
For most of our tours the routes and accommodation are planned in advance but we do however reserve the right to include spontaneity and leave room for improvising.
Why Unchained Tours?
Unchained Tours is exciting, challenging, stimulating and different from other tours because it is not too scripted. It’s a real two wheeled adventure.
We will show you the “Real America.” “Real Morocco” and the “Real South Africa” and take you to the heart of the country.
All our Adventures are led by Chris along with a support rider. Both are fully qualified medics and provide full mechanical as well as moral support! We also run with 2-way communications so you have the option to listen into a running commentary if you so wish. For the more remote areas, we have a satellite phone for security.
On all our trips, we arrange the shipping of your bike which includes packing and all customs formalities.
We will limit the number of bikes to ensure we can give the best service and allow for special requests or detours. Flexibility is the key so the tours are small group, long-duration scenic and cultural adventures.
Each day will have a basic itinerary in order to cover the desired mileage that day and will allow plenty of time for things to see along the way, photo ops, etc. But that doesn’t mean if you see something on the map that piques your interest you have to miss it. Just meet up with us at that nights or the next days scheduled stop.
You will have the days final destination & contact details, so feel free to explore on your own.
Because of our ability to be flexible, we are happy to take bike clubs and groups of friends and can tailor the tours to suit your specific needs.
