This is a must do for anyone who wants to see the real America. At Unchained Tours, we want to show you places well away from the normal holiday destinations and give you the chance to experience real American Hospitality.

This trip starts in San Francisco and we will ride across the USA to our final destination in Baltimore.

Tour group at Golden Gate The route will depart San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge and straight onto the Skyline Boulevard for a coffee at the famous Alice’s restaurant.

We will then head inland to the Sequoia National Park and up into Yosemite National Park which are both jam packed with stunning views and great biking roads.

After leaving Yosemite at 10,000ft, we will drop down to the below sea level and hot Death Valley and cross it in the early morning to Las Vegas.

We will then head into Utah and take in a flurry of beautiful National Parks and Canyons. We will ride through Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Monument Valley before getting to the spectacular Navajo sacred place, which is Canyon de Chelley.  We will walk into the canyon and look at the 1000 year old wall paintings, which are a truly breathtaking experience.

independance-top-3 We then head into the biker paradise of Colorado where we will cross the Rockie Mountains via the most scenic roads imaginable. We will ride through Aspen and over the 12000ft independence Pass, which is quite literally breathtaking!!

From here, Weill will head across the hot and dusty central plains of the USA through real cowboy country where with any luck we will catch a rodeo. Food is the attraction here with Chicken Fried steak and Catfish on the menu!! We will stop in Hot Springs where a proper rest in the natural springs will be most welcome.

Suitably, refreshed we will cross the Mississippi and head on up to Nashville for a spot of good ole Country music before sampling the delights of the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee.

monument After this, it’s a run across to Deals Gap, which is one of the most famous roads in the USA. 318 curves in 11 miles is a biking experience not to be missed. With your skills honed to perfection, we will then head northeast on the stunning Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs up through the Smokie Mountains. It’s a truly beautiful road and is best taken at a leisurely pace to take in the scenery.

We will then head across South Carolina to the East Coast and the Outer Banks. We will call into Kitty Hawk where the first controlled manned flight took place before heading up the coast to our final destination of Baltimore.
As the trip is all road, any kind of bike will be good for this trip but we would recommend a tourer. The total mileage will be around 6000 miles but it is not an Iron Butt rally and the daily mileage will allow plenty of time to experience the best of America. windspirit-cafe
